Recently, I started thinking about what it used to be like...after all, at the beginning of the previous century, women were not equal to men. They were not allowed to study, vote, or realize themselves. Interestingly, the first Women's Day was proclaimed in Denmark. What was this day supposed to be about? First of all, it was to promote the idea of equality between men and women. In Poland, the first Women's Day was celebrated on March 24, 1924. In the 1980s women were not very fond of this holiday because they felt that it was "a day of joy by force".
