Long hooded ponchos from tradtion (woven on a handloom) cottony "gheri" have arrived from Nepal. Gheri is a traditional Nepalese method of hand-weaving high-strength cotton thread. Clothing created from such material will withstand the extreme conditions of the Himalayas. The thick weave will protect against cold, rain and wind. The soft and heavy cotton texture will wrap anyone in warmth. They differ from one another in patterns, hues and colors. Fastened with wooden buttons, they can also be tied under the arms for extra protection against the cold.

Composition: 100% gheri cotton. Manufactured in Nepal. Universal size. Unisex.

Description

Peruvian Ponce Laparica

Ethnic character. Top-quality materials. Abundant in colorful patterns and colors. One universal size. Currently, ponchos are widely known, but in South American areas they are a tradition and represent Indian culture. In the time of the Incas, social standing and wealth were determined by the number of articles one owned, and by the colors and patterns one could recognize where the newcomer came from. To this day ponchos are still worn by the Andean people - they protect them from low temperatures.
